On the Flip Mode

(tv series)

FELIPE 'FLIP' PHILLIPS is a very young basketball phenom that went from high school to the NBA. He is on the level of Allen Iverson or Koby Bryant but only better. Very acrobatic. "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon on the ballcourt".

Flip is not modest. He has a mouth like Charles Barkley and thinks of himself as the 'Ultimate Player', on the court and off. He is often seen with the finest ladies and the most exquiste clothes and cars.

After turning the Clippers around the year before, they rename the team, the ' Flippers', and give him the league biggest salary.

Flip lives out the bachelor's dream by purchasing an Adult Club featuring nude dancers.

The manager he inherits is a bitter but humorous Asian lady who was an original Playboy bunny.

Real life ballplayers and celebrities drop in to see the girls dance, some fall in love.

One day Flip stops a crime in progress and gets famous for it. Flip like the rush that it gave him. His agent hates it because he risked his life.

Later, one of the girls is found dead. The cops investigation turns up nothing. Flip is frustrated, puts fancy detective agency on case, still nothing.

Decides to buy the agency and run it himself. He finds he needs help so he calls on his Uncle Moses to come out and help him.

The Uncle lives in Buffalo, NY and runs a crappy little agency in the dingy part of town. He is a huge, no nonsense guy on the scale of Jim Brown or Bill Duke.

He mostly goes after bond jumpers in the ghetto and is very rough. When Flip calls him, it is winter in Buffalo.

When Moses gets to LA he loves it. Sunshine, fancy office, the strip club = heaven.

He is still gruff and very physical, soon he starts getting answers. The killer turns out to be a computer nerd at the Police Dept. He had been manipulating incriminating data.

The capture led by Flip, just happens on film. The agency gets super famous and celebrities line up for detective/ bodyguard service.

Each week is a new scenario using the club and the agency to spin stories off of..
