Synopsis :
The life of a humorous, California martial artist of mixed heritage
(African American/Filipino) is shattered after he survives a high
school shooting by killing the gunmen, but loses close friends
and sweetheart in the tragedy.
Seeing their son depressed, his parents decide to send him to
the Philippines for the summer in order to keep his mind off of
this all-too-often, real life occurrence.
His grandfather (a master of Filipino fighting arts) is building
a martial arts institute in the deep countryside and could use
the help. Culture shock and nightmares slowly fade away as he begins
to learn his roots from Grandpa, fit in with his peers and even
experience some romance with a fierce but beautiful female fighter.
Soon he is his old, wise-cracking self again.
His world is rocked when a strange tourist agency opens up nearby
and the corpses of local boys start to appear near the institute.
Can our hero stop the killing again?
