GHOST OF THE DRAGON
GENRE : Martial Arts/Psychological Horror
COMPARISON : 'The Crow' wins the 'Game of Death'
LOGLINE
: A ‘WHAT IF’ premise based on the lives of
Bruce Lee and Brandon Lee, that features Bruce coming out of hiding
in a remote Buddhist monastery, to avenge Brandon’s death.
SYNOPSIS : KC and his son (African Americans) are old students
and family friends to the Lee household. Years ago in Hong Kong,
Bruce had made KC promise to look out for Brandon, just in case
something happened to him. Something did.
They now
(mid-90’s) run a Bodyguard Service/Detective Agency
in Los Angeles. Everything was fine, then 'The Crow' mysteriously
took Brandon’s life away. The African American private eyes
go to Carolina to investigate Brandon Lee's painful and puzzling
death. While there, they find a long lost map.
They follow the map to Asia and brave many perils but finally
find Bruce alive. His martial arts skills, even deadlier. Bruce
joins KC and his crew (a diverse bunch of Bruce's old students).
to avenge the murder of his son, so that Brandon's soul, which
now is a ghost, can rest peacefully.
If needed, the characters names can be changed, but the audience
will know who we are referring to.
Bruce, years after his death, is still the undisputed CHAMP. The
story is a breath-taking, one-inch-punch, of an action/adventure
story, mixed with psychological horror. It vividly conveys the
cerebral elements of Martial Arts, while dazzling the audience
with emotion filled, super human, fight scenes (ie Matrix, Crouching
Tiger-Hidden Dragon, Blade, Romeo Must Die).
The fan base is already VERY, VERY STRONG, ... GLOBALLY, therefore
the risk of losing money on this project or not finding distribution
is non-existent.
